# Product Requests

> Submit and manage purchase requests for lab supplies and materials

## Overview

Product Requests allow lab users to request new supplies or restock existing products. Requests go through an approval workflow where lab managers or PIs review, approve, or reject them before ordering. This ensures proper budget control and oversight of lab purchasing.

* Submit requests by searching existing products or adding new ones
* Specify quantity, supplier, package size, and justification for each request
* Track requests by status (Pending, Approved, Rejected) with comments and notifications
* Associate requests with specific grants or funding sources for budget tracking
* Lab managers and PIs review and approve requests before they become orders
